Addendio beta is live
Hello everyone,
my name is Luca and today we make our humble entrance in the WordPress community by launching Addendio.
Addendio is a search engine (or rather a find-engine as we like to call it) for plugins and themes.
We are still in beta mode, so be patient if you find any issues. As for every beta release we are looking forward to your feedback. You can simply send us an email here: support-at-addendio-dot-com
WordPress Ecosystem
As everybody knows, the WordPress community is growing and the choice of plugins and themes is increasing by the day.
We really enjoyed reading some analysis about the WordPress ecosystem from Vova Feldam at Freemius and Brian Krogsgard at Post Status.
We will try and contribute with some posts in the coming period, for now we would like you to remember this number: 7,000. What’s this number? It’s roughly the amount of plugins that were added to the WordPress directory in 2014. Impressive, right?
Plenty of choice
As end users we are really happy about these developments, they are great indicators about the health of the WordPress ecosystem.
At the same time, we realized that we were spending more more time looking for plugins and themes and we often complained internally that it was taking too long. In several cases we felt that we had too much choice and we struggled to make a decision.
This is when the idea for Addendio came. We wanted something different, so we decided to build it. We built Addendio based on our experience and needs, but if you have suggestions we’d love to hear them. Again just send us an email here: support-at-addendio-dot-com
Addendio Plugin: testers wanted
We are also busy working on a plugin to bring Addendio right into your WordPress installations and we are looking for beta testers. Signup here if you are interested
We are based in France, so don’t forget the time difference if you are writing from another continent.
ciao
Luca
